- 7.Tacos in the Pueblo — The real, cheap, delicious Tulum is in town — al pastor off the trompo, cochinita pibil, fresh salsas at a plastic-stool taquería for a couple of dollars. Skip the beach-road prices; this is where locals actually eat.
- 10.Cycle the jungle road — Everyone gets around Tulum by bike — the flat, shady path between town, the ruins and the beach. Rent one for a few dollars a day; it's the cheapest, breeziest and most local way to see it all.
