Community rules & terms

Knowhere trip rooms let you plan travel with friends in a shared chat. To keep them safe and useful, everyone who creates an account agrees to these rules and terms. Last updated 2 September 2026.

The house rules

When you post in a trip room, you agree not to:

• •Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate anyone.
• •Post hateful, racist, or discriminatory content, or attack people for who they are.
• •Share sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualises children — ever.
• •Post violent, graphic, or content that promotes self-harm.
• •Break the law, or plan or encourage illegal activity.
• •Spam, scam, phish, or impersonate other people or brands.
• •Share other people's private information without their consent.
• •Upload malware, or try to attack, overload, or break the service.

Break these rules and we may remove content, suspend, or permanently close your account — without notice where the harm is serious. Trip rooms are private to the people with the link, but they are shared spaces: treat everyone in them with respect.

Your account

You’re responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password private. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to sign up. Don’t create accounts to impersonate others or to get around a suspension.

Your content

You keep ownership of the messages you post. By posting, you give Knowhere permission to store and display that content to the other members of your trip room so the service can work. You’re responsible for what you post and confirm you have the right to share it.

Bookings & recommendations

Knowhere suggests destinations and, when you tap through to book flights, stays, or activities, may send you to third-party sites and earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Prices, availability, opening hours, and estimates shown in the app are guidance, not guarantees — always confirm on the provider’s site. Knowhere isn’t the travel provider and isn’t responsible for their services.

Your data & privacy

To run your account and trip rooms we store your username, a securely hashed password, and the messages and plans you create, using our infrastructure provider (Supabase). We don’t sell your personal data. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time by contacting us. We keep data only as long as needed to run the service or meet legal obligations.

No warranty & liability

Knowhere is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Knowhere isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service, from third-party providers, or from content posted by other users.
